We are living through a period of great social fragility amid accelerating crises—climatic, social, and health-related. We have entered a very unstable period in our history, one that we are not yet prepared to navigate calmly. 

The only response offered is still too often top-down, distant, and competitive. It further weakens social ties! And in the end, our lives slip away from us, increasingly dependent on multinational corporations and large, "above-ground" structures. 

We no longer perceive the real dangers that make us vulnerable. It is not crises. It is not other people. It is isolation, powerlessness, extreme individualization, the myth of every man for himself. 

Humans cannot survive and thrive without each other. And everyone has a role to play!
